App Stack Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 June 2026

App Stack is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles, how it is stored, and what is shared.

What we collect

Hashed device identifier: A one-way hash of your device ID is generated and used solely to count votes when users contribute to the crowd-sourced app directory. This identifier cannot be reversed to identify you or your device, and it is not linked to your Apple ID, name, or any other personal information.

Photos you select: When you choose photos for your stacks, they are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to any server.

App and stack data: Your stack names, app selections, and preferences are stored locally on your device.

What we do not collect

Third-party services

App Stack uses only Apple's own frameworks (WidgetKit, StoreKit, SwiftUI). No third-party code is included in the app.

Data retention

All local data can be removed at any time by deleting the app from your device. The hashed device identifier stored on our server is not linked to any personal information and cannot be used to identify you.

Children's privacy

App Stack does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date.
